      Laser Dentistry in Dubai

      Laser Dentistry in Dubai

Gentler, more precise treatment for your gums.

Not every dental procedure needs a scalpel. At Drs. Nicolas & Asp Centers, our Specialist Periodontist team uses diode laser technology to support a range of gum and soft-tissue treatments — often with less bleeding, less discomfort, and a more precise treatment area than traditional methods.

      What is

      Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry uses a focused beam of light energy, rather than a scalpel, to treat certain gum and soft-tissue conditions. The laser can precisely cut, reshape, or decontaminate soft tissue, often reducing bleeding during treatment and supporting a more comfortable recovery afterward.

Our team of Specialist Periodontists uses a diode laser — a type of soft-tissue laser widely used across periodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry for its precision and gentle tissue interaction.

      How Laser Technology Is Used

Laser technology isn't a treatment on its own — it's a tool our specialists use to support several established procedures.

What Are the Benefits of Laser-Assisted Treatment

These benefits vary by procedure and by patient — your periodontist will explain what to expect for your specific treatment plan.

Are you a candidate for laser dentistry?

Are You a Candidate for Laser Dentistry

Laser technology can support many soft-tissue and gum procedures, though it isn't the right fit for every situation. Whether it's right for you depends on what's going on with your gums, and what you're hoping to achieve.

That's exactly what your consultation is for. Your specialist periodontist will take a close look at your gums and teeth, talk through your dental and medical history, and walk you through the best path forward — laser-assisted or traditional — so you feel confident in your treatment plan.

What Happens During a Laser-Assisted Procedure

Most laser-assisted soft-tissue procedures follow a similar pattern:

Many patients return to normal activities the same day, though recovery time depends on the specific procedure performed.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Diode lasers are most commonly used for soft-tissue gum procedures — such as gum contouring for a gummy smile and gum depigmentation — and to support gum disease and recession treatment. They're also used in select pediatric procedures, such as frenectomies.

Most patients experience less discomfort with laser-assisted procedures than with traditional methods, and many require less local anesthetic. Some mild sensitivity during healing is normal and will be discussed with you beforehand.

The laser replaces a scalpel or other cutting tool for certain soft-tissue procedures. It can offer more precision and less bleeding, but it doesn't replace the mechanical cleaning needed to treat gum disease at its source.

Yes. Our Specialist Periodontist team uses laser technology to support a range of gum and soft-tissue procedures across all four of our Dubai locations — Jumeirah, Marina Walk, Springs Souk, and Uptown Mirdif.
