Dr. Nilu is a seasoned British Specialist Orthodontist with over 20 years of private and NHS practice in the UK.
She graduated from Guy's, King's & St Thomas' Dental Institute, University of London, in 2001, earning her BDS with Distinctions in Oral Anatomy and Clinical Endodontics, as well as the Goldman Elective Award. She went on to complete her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MFDS RCS) in 2006, her MSc in Orthodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute, University of London, in 2009, and her Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth RCS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010.
Dr. Nilu trained as a Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute and Kettering General Hospital, UCL, before building an extensive career across leading private and mixed-practice clinics throughout the UK.
A recognized Invisalign expert, Dr. Nilu was awarded the UK Smile Awards (Fixed Orthodontics category) in 2011. She has published research in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Orthodontics and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and has presented at major international orthodontic conferences.
Dr. Nilu treats patients of all ages, offering a comprehensive range of orthodontic options including Invisalign, clear aligners, and fixed braces. She is known for her gentle, unhurried approach — taking the time to understand each patient's goals and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed at every stage of treatment.
