Dr. Esra is a highly accomplished Specialist Periodontist & Implantologist with 25 years of clinical and teaching experience.
She graduated from Hacettepe University, Turkey in 1998, then earned her PhD in Periodontology from Ankara University in 2005. She worked as a Research Associate at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (2005) and at the University of Louisville (2007) in the US.
Dr. Esra served as Vice Dean and Professor and held other administrative positions during her 13-year tenure at Kocaeli University, Turkey. She has published several books, research papers, and articles in peer reviewed journals, solidifying her expertise and remarkable contributions in her field.
As a specialist, she performs aesthetic gum surgeries and treats periodontal (gum) diseases, gingival recessions, and gummy smiles. Moreover, she is an expert in implant surgeries, implant-related oral surgeries (such as sinus lifts, soft & hard tissue augmentations), and surgical extractions.
Dr. Esra is a member of the International Team for Implantology, the Society of Osseointegration, the European Federation of Periodontology, the Turkish Society of Periodontology, the Turkish Dental Association.
