Dr. Liliana Amaral is a Portuguese board-certified Specialist in Family Medicine. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Porto, Portugal, in 2008, and afterward did specialized training in Family Medicine in Lisbon, Portugal. She worked in the Pediatric Department of Hospital S. Francisco Xavier – Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Occidental, EPE (Hospital Center of Western Lisbon) so has extensive experience in pediatrics.

During her residency, she complimented the curriculum with 5 months of volunteer work in Guinea-Bissau and several other international experiences, including an elective rotation in Geriatric Medicine at the New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital – Columbia in the USA, an Internship in Neurology- Bellvitge University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, and an Exchange Program (Erasmus) – University of Padova, Italy. She also has a Post Graduation in Travel Medicine from the New University of Lisbon, Portugal.

Prior to her joining Drs. Nicolas and asp, Dr. Liliana worked as a family medicine and medical director for 3 years in a clinic in Dubai.

Dr. Liliana has a great ability to put patients at ease and inspire their trust, with highly developed communication skills that enable empathetic listening. She has a genuine concern for all patients and time to explain their condition and treatment options and reliable medical knowledge and diagnostic skills.
