Cleft Lip

Cleft Lip

A baby with an Oral Cleft Lip or Palate means there is an opening in the lip and/or palate (roof of the mouth) that is caused by incomplete development during early fetal formation.

Cleft lip and cleft palate occur in about 1 or 2 of every 1,000 babies born in the each year, making it one of the most common major birth defects. Children with this birth defect frequently have dental problems. These include small teeth, missing teeth, extra teeth (called supernumerary), or mal-positioned teeth.

Fortunately, a well reputed and caring team of Surgeons and Dentists in Dubai at Drs. Nicolas & Asp are highly specialized in treating cleft lip and palate, with minimum discomfort to the child.
