At Drs. Nicolas & Asp, our team of medical doctors ensure all our patients are given the best and the most up-to-date treatments available. Ideally situated in Dubai’s Prestigious Locations with amble parking space, relaxed and spacious waiting areas, including Ladies area, Kids’ Corner, VIP Rooms, as well as, served refreshments and recent magazines/literature for your convenience; We guarantee a pleasant experience every visit.
It has always been our aim to keep our patients well informed. After completing a thorough medical examination, all possible medical treatments are thoroughly discussed between the patient and doctor. This is in order to create a treatment plan to guarantee the best possible treatment is offered. The length, expected results of the treatment and the cost involved are also discussed at this consultation.
We operate from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Saturday through to Thursday. We are closed on Fridays. However, We offer a 24 hour Emergency Doctor call out service if the need should arise. Our working hours reflect the commitment we like to extend to all our patients.
Corporate packages and plans are also available, tailor made to suit your family and company needs (ASK for OUR Patient Relations Manager). Easy payment terms, and direct invoicing agreements with several major Medical and Dental Insurance companies make life easier. We also accept all major credit cards for your convenience.

Travelers’ Medical Services
Drs. Nicolas & Asp patients are encouraged to call the branch of their choice to schedule an appointment. The doctor will discuss travel plans and assess what vaccinations and/or medications are required and/or recommended for your particular itinerary.
Your medical assessment will include:

Pre-Employment Checkup Services
Employers have a duty of care to their employees. Insurance Claim Assessments
Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team is available to carry out Insurance Medical Assessments. These medicals have been devised to be a fair and unbiased assessment of a person’s level of impairment.
Pre-Insurance Assessments
Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team can carry out Pre-Insurance Medical Assessments as requested by either a private party or insurance agency. These medicals can be tailored to assess the health requirements specified by the relevant insurance agency.
Men’s Health Services
Men Health Services are designed especially to detect disorders that are most likely to affect men during their adult lives and focuses on these conditions. The well man screen lasts for around 30 minutes. All the tests are carried out by one of our Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team. There is time for the patient to raise and discuss any concerns. Once all the results are correlated you will be able to have a full view of your health status.

Well Man Checkup Services

A full physical examination is conducted with a detailed assessment of heart function and lung function. The examination also includes for men over 45 a prostate examination.  We also check a urine sample for signs of any kidney problems and this allows us to screen for diabetes.

A fasting blood sample is taken to check cholesterol level. This test, together with the results of the physical examination, allows us to calculate a 10 year prediction of cardiovascular risk.

In men over 45, we also take a blood sample for PSA (prostate specific antigen). The level of PSA rises with the development of prostate cancer and this test, together with the physical examination, allows for the early detection of this condition.

Women's Health Services
Woman Health Services are designed especially to detect disorders that are most likely to affect women during their adult lives and focuses on these conditions. The well woman screen lasts for around 30 minutes. All the tests are carried out by one of our Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team. There is time for the patient to raise and discuss any concerns. Once all the results are correlated you will be able to have a full view of your health status.

Children's Health Services
In addition to taking your child to the doctor when your child is ill, or needs an examination to participate in a particular activity, Drs. Nicolas & Asp medical team recommends routine well-care visits.
Well-care, well-baby, or well-child visits are routine visits to your child's doctor for the following reasons:

  • physical examinations
  • immunization updates
  • tracking growth and development
  • finding any problems before they become serious
  • information on health and safety issues
  • information on nutrition and physical fitness
  • information on how to manage emergencies and illnesses

Emergency Medical Care for Children
Sometimes it is hard to know when your child suddenly needs medical care outside of the obvious indications like unconsciousness or severe bleeding after a car or bike accident.  Medical help is appropriate if your child is observed showing any of the following signs or symptoms:

  • Acting strangely or becoming more withdrawn and less alert.
  • Having increasing trouble breathing.
  • Skin or lips that look blue or purple (or gray for darker skinner children).
  • A seizure — rhythmical jerking and loss of consciousness.
  • Very loose or knocked out teeth, or other major mouth or facial injuries.
  • Increasing, severe and persistent pain.
  • Any loss of consciousness, confusion, a bad headache or vomiting after a head injury.
  • Decreasing responsiveness when being talked to.

In the event of a genuine emergency, Drs. Nicolas & Asp will Endeavour to see you within 24 hours. Patients may call any of our practices and every effort will be made to try to appoint you that day, or you may be asked to "sit and wait" if an appointment is not available.

Childhood Immunizations Services
Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team strongly encourage all children to be immunized according to the known Childhood Vaccination Schedules. For children commencing school having completed all childhood immunization is very vital. Please feel free to discuss your child’s immunization needs with any of Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team.
Which diseases are prevented with childhood immunizations?
Diphtheria is caused by the bacterium Corynebacterium diphtheriae. It causes a serious throat and chest infection.
Haemophilus influenzae b (Hib) is a bacterium which can cause pneumonia and meningitis. Children under the age of four are most at risk.
Measles is caused by the measles virus. It causes a miserable feverish illness with a rash. Complications occur in some cases such as pneumonia, convulsions or encephalitis (brain inflammation).
Mumps is caused by the mumps virus. The infection typically causes inflammation and swelling of the salivary glands. Complications occur in some cases such as pancreatitis, orchitis (inflammation of the testes), meningitis, and encephalitis (inflammation of the brain).
Rubella (german measles) is caused by the rubella virus. It causes a mild illness with a rash. However, if a pregnant woman has rubella, the virus is likely to cause serious damage to the unborn child. The child is likely to be born with multiple defects (Congenital Rubella Syndrome).
Meningococcus group C is a bacterium which is one cause of meningitis and septicaemia (severe blood poisoning). There are other types of meningococcus, but cases of meningitis and septicaemia caused by group C have fallen.
Pertussis (whooping cough) is caused by a bacterium called Bordetella pertussis. This causes a prolonged and distressing cough. Some infected children develop complications such as pneumonia or brain damage.
Pneumococcus is a bacterium (germ) which can cause pneumonia, meningitis and some other infections. Pneumococcal infection can affect anybody. However, young children, people aged 65 and over, and some other groups of people are at increased risk of pneumococcal infection.
Poliomyelitis (polio) is an illness caused by the polio virus. The virus first infects the gut, but then travels to the nervous system and can cause a meningitis-like illness. This may damage some nerves. This may lead to wasting of muscles and sometimes paralysis of one or more of the limbs. The illness can seriously affect breathing in some people and may lead to death.
Tetanus is an infection caused by a bacterium called Clostridium tetani which is found in the soil. It causes severe and agonizing muscle contractions and is often fatal.

Pathology Services

All pathology tests required for our patients are performed at Drs. Nicolas & Asp. Most pathology services’ results are usually available within 48 hours. The results will normally only be given to the patient, by the doctor, and a follow-up appointment is usually recommended to discuss results if a number of tests or X-rays have been performed.

Emergency Medical Care
Most common medical emergencies involve toothache or accidental damage and too often people suffer in silence, in the hope that the pain will disappear.
In the event of a genuine emergency we will Endeavour to see you within 24 hours. Patients may call any of our practices and every effort will be made to try to appoint you that day, or you may be asked to "sit and wait" if an appointment is not available.

Home Visits’ Services
Drs. Nicolas & Asp Medical Team are available for home visits to see patients who are require this service. If a home visit is required, please call Drs. Nicolas & Asp as soon as possible. All effort will be made to take care of you although consultations at home are often under sub-optimal conditions without all available resources.
When calling Drs. Nicolas & Asp, please indicate your name, address and telephone number and the nature of the problem. Every effort will be made to make the appropriate arrangements in order to be seen by any of our medical team.
